According to the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), in 2013, there were 7 weather and climate disaster events, killing 109 people and resulting in losses exceeding $1 billion each across the United States. In this free webinar, we'll be joined by Dr. Stephanie Herring and Dr. Martin Hoerling from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to discuss attribution of extreme weather and its connection with climate change.
Dr. Herring and Dr. Hoerling collaborated on the Explaining Extreme Events of 2012 From a Climate Perspective report, which resulted in their inclusion on Foreign Policy magazine's Top 100 Global Thinkers list.
