After a triumphant debut at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola this past September, Milton Suggs returns to celebrate the late, great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Suggs is a gifted up-and-coming vocalist who was encouraged to pursue vocals professionally by Jazz at Lincoln Center Managing & Artistic Director, Wynton Marsalis. He draws influence from the past century and beyond of jazz, soul, and R&B, having studied artists from Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole, and Jon Hendricks, to Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, and Marvin Gaye. The Milton Suggs Philosophy has recently been lighting up the New York club scene with unique and culturally savvy performances. Suggs’ vocals will please a wide range of fans, and we’re excited to see what the group has in store for this very special occasion.
